Billy Ray Cyrus – “Hey Elvis” (Official Music Video)
“Hey Elvis” was originally written by Bryan Adams and Gretchen Peters nearly 20 years ago and Cyrus immediately fell in love with the song after hearing it. The new gritty rock rendition combines the unique forces of Cyrus, Adams, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Glenn Hughes. The music video debuted this past weekend on CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown.
“Hey Elvis” is one of three tracks Billy Ray Cyrus released to preview his September 9th album release Thin Line. He describes the album as a, “balance between art and reality.” The single also ties in well with Cyrus’ other new project: a brand new television series titled Still the King set to premiere on CMT this Sunday, June 12. Cyrus stars as a one-hit wonder turned Elvis-impersonating scoundrel in the series, and contributes as a writer and executive producer as well. View the official trailer for Still the King here
