October 27, 2015 (Toronto, ON) – After travelling more than 7000 km from coast to coast, JUNO and CCMA Award winners Dean Brody and Paul Brandt have packed up and headed home. Wrapping up what will go down in history as Canada’s largest co-headlining country tour, Brody and Brandt’s Road Trip Tour delivered encore-worthy performances to more than 71,000 fans in 22 Canadian cities, making it 2015’s biggest country success.
Kicking off in Victoria late last month, the Road Trip Tour was brought to life not only by the electric performances delivered by Brody and Brandt. Fuelled by Ford Canada, this tour provided fans with the unique opportunity to take part in an epic scavenger hunt with winners earning the opportunity to attend a meet and greet event with two of Canada’s most celebrated musicians.
“I’ve always said that touring is the best way to celebrate our amazing country,” said Brody. “This tour allowed us to do even more than that. Working with Ford we were able to celebrate our fans – the people who continue to support us and allow us to do what we love. I am so thankful we had the opportunity to do that night after night after night.”
“Dean and I agreed at the beginning of this tour that the key was to make it all about the fans,” said Brandt. “We both went out there every night with the goal of leaving it all on the stage. For me, it’s not about awards and accolades; it’s about whether I’ve been able to connect with the people who put me on stage in the first place. In partnership with Ford Canada, we were able to help Canadian country fans ‘Go Further’. It was an honour making history with Dean and his team with this unique tour.”
With media singing the praises of the live show – “Overall … Brody hit all the bases. [He] and his hard-working five-piece band were a cut above the usual hats.” (Edmonton Sun), “Brandt brought an energy… that was powerful. His presence on stage is natural and his interactions with the crowd are genuine.” (Red Deer Express) – it was the fans who captured the excitement and shared via social media, creating more than 2 million social impressions:
“Thank you all SO much for putting on a mind blowing show!”
